Recipe: Columbia's White chocolate bread Pudding-Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel

For pudding bread:

6 cups heavy cream *

2 cups milk


1 cup of sugar

Extract vanilla Cup 1/4

28 ounces white chocolate, cut into small pieces (approximately 3 1/2 cups), divided

4 eggs

12 egg yolks

18-ounce loaf-old Cuban bread

White chocolate rum sauce (see recipe)

White or dark Chocolate, shaved as Loki for garnish, optional

Heat the cream, milk, sugar and vanilla over medium heat in a large pot.When hot and small bubbles form, remove from heat and add 21/2 cups white chocolate, stirring until degrees.

Combine eggs and egg yolks in a large mixing bowl.With electric mixer, slowly pour the cream mixture slightly, tortured by whipping at medium speed include eggs to warm them. you may add other cream, continuing to beat the inclusion.

Approximately 20 minutes before serving, slices bread pudding on individual portions and place on a lightly greased cookie. bake in 350-degree oven until structure and heated by white upper chocolate Rum sauce and, if desired, chocolate collapses. Serve immediately.

Makes 8 servings.

* For a lighter Use half-and-half where cream is indicated and cut the egg yolks to 8 instead of 12. it is still its decadent cocktail.
